Rigid Sage
This one was ID confirmed by a nice sign :p - because this wildlife area shares space by a wind farm there is visitor center that has a small "display garden" - It's not really a garden per say - it's the plants that are all around, but some of the more prominent characters have ID signage. Without that, IDing this particular plant probably would have been more difficult, but the presence of Thompson's Paintbrush would have been a tip off, as it is parasitic to this particular sage.

''Artemisia rigida'' is a species of flowering plant in the aster family known by the common names scabland sagebrush and stiff sagebrush. It is native to the northwestern United States, in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. It has been recorded in western Montana but these sightings may have been misidentifications.
