Female Spectacled Weaver. The male has the black throat. Was looking at Stephens two images of the Spectacled Weaver and i think they may be the Northern Masked Weaver or simlar. Do we have some knowledgeable weaver members who may shed some light on these two posts. The spectacled weaver is a species of bird in the Ploceidae family. It is found widely in woodland, forest edge and gardens of East, Middle and Southern Africa, but is absent from the most arid regions and dense, primary rainforest.
