  1. I meant to leave a few notes on this precious little duck when i posted the image. The Bernier,s Teal is on the (Red List ) of the IUCN, which is the International Union for Conservation of Nature and is listed as nearly extinct. Posted 9 years ago, modified 9 years ago

Bernier's teal , also known as Madagascar teal, is a species of duck in the genus ''Anas''. It is endemic to Madagascar, where it is found only along the west coast. Part of the "grey teal" complex found throughout Australasia, it is most closely related to the Andaman teal.
