  2. I think it is mating period and it could be their nuptial parad.
    I can't manage to spot the species... sorry for the quality pic and movie at 800mm between the branches.

  3. Tough one. If this is indeed an African bush squirrel and if I use this list....

    ...the only species occuring in Ivory Coast according to those pages is the Green bush squirrel, also called Fernando Po Squirrel. Here's one of few images of that species:

    1. I don't know..it was a supposition...I don't think the tail of the G.B.S. fits with my excited fellow's one...

The Fire-footed Rope Squirrel is a species of rodent in the family Sciuridae.
It is found in Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Uganda.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, moist savanna, and plantations.
