Dinner Pickup Some whitefish we put back into the lake after they have been caught in our gillnets are bloated and vary in size. A lot of the time we see seagulls trying to eat fish that are twice the size of their throats. It definitely makes for a fun betting game as to if the gull will swallow or not swallow a fish! 1. They can be rather amusing. Out here on the sound here they try desperately to swallow whole flatfish - probably sole or sandab. It's obviously never going to happen but they try and try. They just can't figure out why it is that if the head/tail fits in, that the rest of the fish won't go down. Posted 9 years ago
    1. Some of the fish they do manage to swallow makes me wonder how they'll digest it!! Posted 9 years ago
