  2. Yes, looks like that. There are quite a few more tropical species in this group. I found about 15 on this undetermined shrub and would have loved to grow them out. The adults can be quite attractive. Posted 9 years ago

''Syntherata janetta'' is a moth of the Saturniidae family. In the east it is found in New Guinea and in the northern half of Australia, as far south as Newcastle

The wingspan is about 120-140 mm.

The larvae feed on various plants, including ''Euodia elleryana'', ''Geijera salicifolia'', ''Glochidion ferdinandi'', ''Petalostigma quadriloculare'', ''Aegiceras'', ''Ceriops'', ''Timonius rumphii'' and ''Podocarpus spinulosus''.
