Cicindela hybrida The northern dune tiger beetle. I think this is one of the most beautiful bugs in holland. I can only find them in a very small region near some very old settlements (fort de Roovere) in Bergen op Zoom. The map is pint point accurate so if anyone also whats to photograph them this is where u need to be, and in summer there are a lot of them in that exact region.<br />

The northern dune tiger beetle. I think this is one of the most beautiful bugs in holland.     I sometimes chase them and then give up. They are literally always a few steps ahead of me :)

    1. I agree, saw them once in the dunes in Zeeland but they weren't concentrated in one small spot like the cousins at Fort de Roovere. So it was impossible to take a good shot.

      You really should go there sometime, you can even find the european tree frog there!
