Volcanic Lake in Amber Mountain, Madagascar

Admittedly a pretty dull scene due to the misty sky. This is one of several volcanic lakes in Amber Mountain national park. At the time of our visit, over half of the park was closed down for security reasons, so this was one of two lakes we had access to. I don't recall the name of this specific lake.

Getting to this lake took a pretty long hike down a difficult path. You could see the disappointment on other tourists' faces when they arrived, realizing there's not much to see, and knowing they now have to climb the steep path up again. Amusing :)
