    1. That's a though one ;) I usually think that don't believe that they can fly, or either survive for much longer... deformities were very severe, although i've seen other matured ones, in this case a male Onychogomphus uncatus (gomphidae) with wing defects and more or less operacional, perching, flying, feeding...

      Here it is:
      Defects Onychogomphus uncatus, immature male showing wing defects but still flying. This one captured my attention because of its strange flying pattern. ''Gomphus pulchellus'', the western clubtail, is a species of dragonfly in the family Gomphidae. It is found in Western Europe, although absent in the British isles. Its natural habitat are clean ponds and canals, clay and mud holes.
