
Indo-Pacific gecko
that lives with me. Normally very shy and difficult to photograph, this specimen did not move, and climbed onto my finger when I went to prod it, to see if it was actually still alive. My guess was the heat of my finger was desired, as it was a bit cool that day.
On closer examination, the gecko was shedding its skin, as part of the growing process.
This gecko grows to 6” 50/50 split between body and tail. This specimen was approximately 2.5” as can be seen from my finger.
Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Alongside a stream and paddy fields.
