Gray slime mold plasmodium I&#039;m not sure it&#039;s even possible to ID many slime molds in this stage.. I&#039;d be curious to see what this looks like in a few days.<br />

  1. Bizarre! Did you touch it, is it as wet as it looks? Also, does it emit any smell? Posted 9 years ago
    1. It was quite wet, but tough and sticky enough to cling tightly to the stick it was on - I didn't stick my finger right in it... but I did move the stick a little. This is the stage that give slime molds their name. I get the feeling that this plasmodium was coming together and getting ready to create fruiting bodies. I don't recall that it smelled like anything. Posted 9 years ago
      1. I have so many ideas for new lists, but never get around in creating them. Note to myself is that we should create a "scifi" list, with alien-like life forms right here on earth :) Posted 9 years ago
