
Triops longicaudatus
This is the same Triops as my previous upload. A cool thing is, the day before this picture was taken he lost the tip of the left tail between the pebbles in the aquarium . If you look closely you can see a red dot on the tail. The part under the red dot grew back in only one day!

"Triops longicaudatus" is a freshwater crustacean of the order Notostraca, resembling a miniature horseshoe crab. It is characterized by an elongated, segmented body, a flattened shield-like brownish carapace covering two thirds of the thorax, and two long filaments on the abdomen.

you also make great pictures with the MPE65 lens!
The underwater images are made in some what of a studio setup, with a self made mini aquarium and two flashes (very simple setup).
But outside i also take pictures by freehand (with the use of a flash). I think working with reversed lenses is in many ways about the same as working with the MPE65 lens. Posted 9 years ago
