  1. It does not look that fearsome to me, so if I where a mouse I'd be looking at its inside right now. Great detail of t he head! I am curious as to what happened to the nose though, it must have hurt in the past.. Posted 13 years ago
    1. Its possible that its been hurt, some of the reptiles in this centre are former pets. I agree that it does not look fearsome in this position, only when it does the cobra pose it gets scary. Posted 13 years ago
      1. Only the more mysterious, switching poses. Maybe because in this photo its difficult to see its wide throat extension it suddenly looks 'cute'. That's powerful photography too. Posted 13 years ago

The Egyptian cobra is a species in the genus Naja found in Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It is one of the largest Naja species in Africa.
