  2. This looks like a monitor to me, blue tongues do not have loose hanging skin and their digits are quite different, small and somewhat puny looking. Posted 8 years ago
    1. Thanks for the feedback. It's been taken five years ago in a reptile zoo, so memory does not serve me well enough to know what it is. I'd normally use the signs in such facilities to be sure, but I think this one slipped through. So you're probably right.
      Any idea which type of monitor it could be?

The blotched blue-tongued lizard, also known as the southern blue-tongued lizard or blotched blue-tongued skink is a blue-tongued skink endemic to south-eastern Australia.
