  1. Mark, I have made an error on my website that was copied to Christiane's spotting of Paropsisterna beata
1/ It is Paropsisterna beata and not Paropsis beata.
2/ There is no subspecies and the species formerly called rubrosignata is synonymized (Blackburn 1899) and not a current taxon, nor a subspecies, but a variety.

I assume only lions can make such edits and I hope you can fix this.

    2. Hi Martin,
Only a few assigned moderators can make changes to the species database and Mark is one of them.
Regarding the above photo, it is identified as Paropsisterna beata and in the detailed description of the species, I have copied the part of your website where rubrosignata is described as a variety. The only mistake is that I have somehow created the ID with 2 intervals that's why Mark was able to create another one with 1 interval and these should be merged. I transfered some of the data to the ID that Mark has created. Please check the link below and let me know if you agree with it now.

      1. Hello Wildflower,
I agree with the information now. Rubrosignata was synonymized into beata by Blackburn 1899. There is lots of confusion in the whole group of Paropsisterna. Mark is very good with details and its a good arrangement. He's been correcting my mistakes for years.
