Lucid carpet (Chrysolarentia lucidulata)
From above - a lush mixture of rich chocolate and creamy vanilla waves and lines with intense chrome-yellow hind wings.
From below the wings are fairly plain yellow ochre with a couple of dark eye-spots and wavy lines.
At rest it held it's wings in a strange cowled position. About 25mm long.
Attracted to lights in a back yard.
