Southern Ladybird (Cleobora mellyi)

A bright orange-yellow beetle, about 5 to 6 mm long, with black wavy markings like a tiger's skin on elytra and thorax. The outer margins of the elytra had a slight flare.
This beetle is endemic to Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Ladybird or Southern Ladybird (Cleobora mellyi), is a ladybird species endemic to Tasmania and also found in the southern states of mainland Australia.

C. mellyi was introduced to New Zealand as a biological control agent, with mixed results.
