Mealy Amanita (Amanita farinacea) The largest caps in this group were about 120mm across. <br />
Remains of veil around the margin and with crusty nodules on the top.. All off-white. <br />
Annulus about one third down the stipe. <br />
Crowded white gills, adnate. No spore print taken.<br />
Found under a large group of roadside shrubs and eucalyptus trees.<br />
This species is possibly the same as Amanita ananiceps. If proven then the name farinacea will take precedence. <br />

The largest caps in this group were about 120mm across.
Remains of veil around the margin and with crusty nodules on the top.. All off-white.

A large white gilled fungus native to Australia notable for it's mealy fragments on the top and hanging remains of the partial veil at the edge of the cap. Most often found in eucalypt forests.
