Grey gilled discs (Conchomyces bursiformis) An eerie grey glow and a smooth, velvety top. A short, eccentric stipe and very white, adnexed, close gills. <br />
About 50mm across. Very attractive young caps.<br />
Growing from moss covered branch in a tall eucalyptus rain forest in a national park.<br />
Also called C bursaeformis. Only two species in this genus. These differ from Crepidotus in having white gills and spores. <br />
Young caps are grey becoming pale fawn later. <br />
