Golden-winged Epidesmia (Epidesmia chilonaria)
These moths usually rest with their wings forming an almost perfect equilateral triangle and so the colour of the hind wings is not scene. I was finally to get a shot of that gold colour.
This one was under night lights in a local nature reserve.
Full wingspan is about 40mm.
''Epidesmia chilonaria'' is a species of moth of the family Geometridae. It is found in the south-eastern quarter of Australia.
