
Broad-billed Roller, Amber Mountain, Madagascar
Opening the Amber mountain set with this first photo. It's quite poor due to the distance and shooting against the light. In fact, our guide pointed it out as a Bulbul, but it turns out to be a Roller after recovering some details.

The cinnamon roller , also known as the broad-billed roller, is a member of the roller family of birds which breeds across tropical Africa and Madagascar in all but the driest regions. It is a wet season breeder, which migrates from the northern and southern areas of its range towards the moister equatorial belt in the dry season.
