
Marpissa is a genus of the family Salticidae or Jumping Spiders. Marpissa is found throughout Europe in damp places, especially on cattail in still water. Males have a body length of 6-7mm and females 6.1 - 9.3mm.

How do you get these critters to stay still? Posted 9 years ago
Some critters are very easy to photograph and stand still for a long time and some really don't! If they don't (depends a lot on what critter it is) it can easily take up to 300 pictures to get maybe one usable image. But it is much more fun when you finally get one! Posted 9 years ago
It is not dust or fungi in the lens. When i started with the reversed lenses i also thought it was dust and fungi in the lens, until i cleaned the sensor. With any other lens you will never notice it.
I now have a visible dust butterfly to regularly clean the sensor, works great and fast. Posted 9 years ago
