  3. Excellent choice of high noise (grote korrel) filter! it enhances, for me, the mystery of the black bird. I never shot a photo that was positively influenced by this choice but now I am going to try again! Posted 13 years ago
    1. Thanks Ludo. I usually limit my post processing but in cases of dull or ruined photos I tend to dramatize it a bit. In this case I used a "bleach" filter combined with a "detail extractor". Posted 13 years ago
      1. You succeeded. What do you use for post processing, Ferdy? Like DxO or Lightroom? Trying to develop midget masterskills for Lightroom (I'm actually in chapter 1:)) Posted 13 years ago
        1. I'm using Lightroom 3 currently. Version 4 is just out, so I may upgrade this week. I love lightroom's simplicity. Posted 13 years ago
  4. Lovely combination of wildlife subject and (artistic) post processing - I really love this picture! Posted 13 years ago

The Common Blackbird is a species of true thrush. It is also called Eurasian Blackbird, or simply Blackbird, where this does not lead to confusion with a similar-looking local species. It breeds in Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to Australia and New Zealand.
