The Botany Bay Weevil is found in eastern Australia and has been recorded in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Weevil larvae feed on the roots of Acacia plants while adults feed on young twigs and foliage. They can be a pest on Acacias.<br />

"Chrysolopus spectabilis" is a species of weevil found in south-eastern Australia. It is up to 25 mm long, with metallic green patterns on a black background. It is a specialist, only known from 28 species of "Acacia".
