
Snowy shells (Campanella junghahnii)
Looking like little brains from above and from below they reveal a crazy maze of crossed and meandering gills.
The largest in this group of about 10 was about 40mm wide.
Very tall, dark damp eucalyptus rain forest in a local national park.

Campanella junghuhnii is a fungi in the Campanella genus. Appearance: Pileus 0.5-1.5 cm, flabelliform, thin, white to pale yellow, smooth. Gills white, radiate from base. Stipe very short, lateral. Spores elliptical, hyaline, smooth, I-, 4-8 × 2-2.5 μm. Hyphae with clamps.
