  1. This is definitely a frog in the genus Spinomantis (formerly included in Mantidactylus). Glaw & Vences (2007) show Spinomantis fimbriatus in Marojejy, and my bet is on that species. There's also a Spinomantis phantasticus that's shown from close to Marojejy. S. phantasticus is even spinier than S. fimbriatus. I don't think yours is quite spiny enough to be S. phantasticus.
