  2. ive just heard, that authorities in wiesbaden will set the parakeet on a grey list, because the authorities suspecting, that the parakeets are dangerous for other birds. promptly ive wrote a readers letter to the paper how cruel it would be. i am shocked. hope, more readers and citizens will take action for the parakeets. The rose-ringed parakeet is a medium-sized parrot in the genus Psittacula, of the family Psittacidae. It has disjunct native ranges in Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, and is now introduced into many other parts of the world where feral populations have established themselves and are bred for the exotic pet trade.
