  1. The 'Eastern grey kangaroo' image that comes up top right is actually Swamp wallaby LOL! Posted 9 years ago
    1. Thank you for mentioning this, I have fixed it. We see species identification as a community effort so there may be occasional errors. Posted 9 years ago
      1. I had fixed it already, it was this one...

I'm not sure about the ones you identified. There are red kangaroos at Philadelphia Zoo. What do you think Mark?
Kangaroos_at_their_best I saw these extremely beautiful animals in Philadelphia Zoo. I was clicking only two of them and hearing some weird noise they started looking at here and there and suddenly from no where the third one too looked up.<br />

        1. Oops sorry, I guess the main image of the species changed due to you fixing it already, which I did not know. This may mean that this one is wrong now, indeed:

        2. Yes those 3 look like reds. It's not easy to learn the difference without a side-by-side comparison. Posted 9 years ago

The eastern grey kangaroo is a marsupial found in southern and eastern Australia, with a population of several million. Although a big eastern grey male typically masses around 66 kg and stands almost 2 m tall, the scientific name, "Macropus giganteus", is misleading, as the red kangaroo of the semi-arid inland is, at 85 kg, larger.
