Geranium Argus, Juuka, Finland I photographed this Geranium argus in Juuka, eastern Finland a couple of years ago. These Blue butterflies are often rather challenging to identify.<br />

I photographed this Geranium argus in Juuka, eastern Finland a couple of years ago. These Blue butterflies are often rather challenging to identify.

    1. You're right although there are some which are much more difficult than some others. For example Idas vs. Silver-studded Blues are still a very complex pair for me :). Posted 9 years ago

The Geranium Argus is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the Palearctic ecozone. The wingspan is 26–30 mm. The butterfly flies from May to August depending on the location. The larvae feed on Geranium species.
