  1. Do you have underside shots of these? These do not look like typical C. cyanophylla I am seeing (in terms of texture and stipe). Also, what is the substrate here? This species typically grows on conifer wood. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
  2. They are from some time ago, so I'd have to go through my archives... but I likely do have either notes or a photo about the underside. They are growing on downed wood - though it can be hard to identify once as thoroughly rotted as this one, out here it is very most likely that it is conifer, as most of our trees are conifers. The needles in the image are likely hemlock and cedar, which would indicate the log is likely hemlock. Posted 4 years ago
    1. I would love to see/hear your notes! The log would be a match. I was just surprised to see these so dry (and even pubescent). From all of the photos I have seen and from my experience, it is quite slick/slimy (from cap to stipe). Posted 4 years ago
    2. I was just thinking the same as Lisa and clicked on the photo to comment. It would be interesting to see the underside of these mushrooms, if you have the time to search the photos out. Posted 4 years ago
