Pyrrhosoma nymphula, Liperi, Finland

Large Red Damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula) is the only mainly red Damselfly species in Finland. This was the first for me and I was lucky to have a chance to photograph it for a while.

  Yes, it's a male. In doubt always check for presence/absence of secondary genitalia bellow the 2nd abdominal segment Posted 9 years ago
