A Western Leaf Lizard (Stenocercus fimbriatus) blending in, near Iquitos, Peru
These lizards rely on their amazing dead-leaf appearance for camouflage on the forest floor. They typically will not move until a predator (or nosy human with camera) gets close, then they will run a little ways away and stop again.

''Stenocercus fimbriatus'', the Western leaf lizard, is a species of lizard in the Tropiduridae family within the genus ''Stenocercus''.
It is found in Brazil and Peru.
