A fat and happy Santa Fe Land Iguana (Conolophus pallidus) Most of the land iguanas in the Galápagos are Conolophus subcristatus, but the small island of Santa Fe has its own species, which is lighter in color, less spiny, and apparently just fatter than the others. ''Conolophus pallidus'' is a species of lizard in the Iguanidae family. It is one of three species in the genus ''Conolophus''.
It is endemic to Santa Fe Island in the Galapagos....hieroglyph snipped...
