Redfin anthias (Pseudanthias_dispar)

Orange to yellow body, lavender to pink head and bright red dorsal fin, translucent tail. the females are orange to peach in the upper head, body and fins while the lower head is pale. They have to narrow violet to lavender or yellowish bars extended from eye to pectoral fin base. Males show an erect dorsal fin during courtship. They form schools and plankton-feeding aggregations 1-3 m above the substrate (e.g.corals). Females far outnumber males.
Habitat: Upper edge of steep slopes to 15 m.
