
Ruddy Duck
Male in non-breeding plumage. In the male the face is always white with a black head cap. The bill is blue in breeding season and blackish grey in non-breeding season. The body is reddish brown in breeding season and changes towards mottled grey in non-breeding season.

The ruddy duck is a duck from North America and the Andes Mountains of South America, one of the stiff-tailed ducks.
