    2. G. maginatus as found in the Indian Ocean??? Posted 10 years ago
      1. yes i found it on the shore of Indian ocean Posted 10 years ago
  3. Amazing find, I believe I have seen it before on some kind of "weird animals" list. Please take wildflower's clue and try to match it with an exact species, would be very valuable if you do so. Posted 10 years ago
    1. Hi may i know how to take Wildflower Clue ?? because i am new to here and i don't know how to try that Posted 10 years ago
      1. I think Ferdy means take a look at the link that Wildflower posted. There are five species of Glaucus but as yours was found in the Indian Ocean then that narrows it down to just one Glaucus marginatus. Lets see if Wildflower agrees :) Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago
        1. Yes, I found it on the bank of indian ocean. Let see :) Posted 10 years ago
        2. If you read more of the description you will see that Glaucus atlanticus also occurs throughout the Indo-Pacific as well as in the Atlantic Ocean. Maybe this is Glaucus atlanticus because it has a longer tail, but I am not sure. Do you know how long it is?

          1. It is nearly one inch in size .. Posted 10 years ago
            1. That corresponds to the size of Glaucus atlanticus. Glaucus marginatus is about half that size. Posted 10 years ago

Glaucus atlanticus (commonly known as the sea swallow, blue angel, blue glaucus, blue dragon, blue sea slug and blue ocean slug) is a species of small-sized blue sea slug, a pelagic aeolid nudibranch, gastropod mollusk in the family Glaucidae. It is closely related to Glaucus marginatus, which is sometimes included in Glaucus.
