Bobcat Starting Contest
After spending almost an hour in their enclosure, the bobcats that reside in the Gray Wildlife Park became comfortable enough to let me move within arms length of them and photograph them. The Park has fostered their bobcats since birth. The one photographed is currently 12 years old and is the youngest bobcat living at the Park.

The bobcat is a medium-sized North American cat that first appeared during the Irvingtonian stage around 1.8 million years ago. Containing two recognized subspecies, it ranges from southern Canada to central Mexico, including most of the contiguous United States.
