    1. Different how? Do you mean the color of the head? Posted 4 years ago
      1. Other photos here seem to have an all yellow breast, more like the yellow-fronted whereas this one has a distinct white chest and yellow throat. Possibly there are some colour variations between the sexes etc. No expert. But I am sure of the ID of this one. :) Posted 4 years ago
        1. Ah, the breast, I missed that. Indeed it looks like most reference photos have an all-yellow breast, but I did find this other one featuring a white breast:

          1. It was actually the other two on JD that show a more yellow front, but they both have yellow feet so who knows. Another site states that there are some hybrids and sub-species so that probably explains the colour differences. Posted 4 years ago

The yellow-footed green pigeon , also known as yellow-legged green pigeon, is a common species of green pigeon found in the Indian subcontinent. It is the state bird of Maharashtra. In Marathi it is called ''Hariyal''. The species feeds on fruit, including many species of ''Ficus''. They forage in flocks. In the early morning they are often seen sunning on the tops of emergent trees in dense forest areas. They especially are found sitting in couples on tree branches.
