  1. This is as far from a Wood Warbler as you can get!! What a terrible mistake. This is not even a warbler for goodness sake.

  2. Wikipedia, on this occasion, is actually correct as well. The entire population does overwinter in sub-Saharan Africa. I'm afraid you do just have a Greenfinch in your garden during the winter - nothing particularly special about that. Posted 13 years ago, modified 13 years ago
  3. @greenfly I agree with you that it indeed is a greenfinch and good that you say so, but there is no reason to use capslock for telling that.

The European Greenfinch, or just Greenfinch, is a small passerine bird in the finch family Fringillidae. The genus "Carduelis" might be split up and in this case, the greenfinches would be separated in their old genus "Chloris" again.
