American Eastern Yellow Fly Agaric
On a trip to New York we stopped at a state park in Cooksburg Pennsylvania and noticed these big yellow mushrooms the size of our fists. The scientific name for this mushroom is Amanita Muscaria Var. Guessowii. They are part of the Amanitaceae. Genus family. These mushrooms are also related to those mushrooms often seen in stories or video games with red and white polka dots. These mushrooms are yellow with flaky white spots and a strong, thick stalk. American Eastern Fly Agaric is a poisonous, inedible mushroom. They have gills and grow from the ground and not from trees, they are most commonly found near Pine/Cedar trees.

''Amanita muscaria'' var. ''guessowii'', commonly known as the American Eastern Yellow Fly Agaric is a basidiomycete fungus of the genus ''Amanita''.
