Not just the head but the scales are beautiful too
The green vine snake one of the excellent camouflaged creatures of the indian forests posses an equally unique defense mechanism . The snakes as seen normally (see pic on my profile) are green in color but when the sense danger they just harden their body and just stretch the scales and hence the black and red color beneath is visible to the predator which is a primary defense tactic for the snake , capturing such moments is like an opportunity to showcase the nature's creations for every wildlifer

The green vine snake ඇහැටුල්ලා in Sinhala, in Telugu, লাউডগা in Bengali is a slender green tree snake found in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Not to be confused with ''Oxybelis fulgidus'', "green vine snake" found in Central and South America.
