  2. I fully agree, Joost. It is hard to appreciate the beauty of something you see so commonly. If one is to imagine to see this duck for the first time, one would be stunned by its beauty. I think the same is true for male peacocks. They are exceptionally beautiful. Posted 13 years ago

The mallard or wild duck is a dabbling duck that breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, Eurasia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa.
