Flat-headed Bromeliad Treefrog (Osteocephalus planiceps) ready to leap away
These large treefrogs and a few related species were easy to find at night in the Amazon rainforest in Peru, but you had to find several of them before you could get a good picture, as they had a very strong tendency to leap a great distance away right before you could take your photo. This one is in the pre-leap position.

"Osteocephalus planiceps" is a species of frog in the Hylidae family found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and possibly Brazil. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
