Brother and sister lion cubs
Hopefully these vigorous, beautiful, healthy and thriving cubs have avoided poaching.
The pic was one of many taken from a vehicle while traversing a dirt road in The Serengeti, Tanzania, Africa. The conditions were ideal and unique.
The road was somewhat lower than where the small pride was basking, resulting in us being at about eye level. Nobody else was around, so we just observed and shot during golden light.

The lion is one of the five big cats in the genus "Panthera" and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger.
