White-Crowned Sparrow, Missouri
On a cool autumn evening I grabbed my camera and headed outside for a walk, my dog and goat came along for company. I snapped many pictures of birds, for it was migrating season, but it wasn't until the end of my pleasant walk that I paused to see two sparrows resting on a barbed wire fence. Quickly, I shot picture after picture making sure not to miss the moment. Satisfied with my photos I ended my stroll and stepped inside out of the fall breeze.

The white-crowned sparrow is a species of passerine bird native to North America. A medium-sized member of the New World sparrow family, this species is marked by a grey face and black and white streaking on the upper head.
