  1. Marine species are so welcome on the site, as we have very few. Great work! Care to share the story on how you took this photo? Posted 9 years ago
  2. This picture was taken about 7 Miles off the coast of San Diego. We used Tuna and various fish as chum per the buckets in the background. We drifted for about 5 hours creating a slick in order to attract the sharks. As Blue Sharks are a pelagic species, you never know where or when they are going to show up. Once the Shark appeared, we slipped into the water and allowed the shark to get comfortable with us. The Shark stayed around for about 45 mins before we had to leave as it was getting dark. The picture was taken with a GoPro and it was an amazing experience. Posted 9 years ago
  3. Very very nice shot!
I'm headed to Shark Alley off of South Africa this August, and hope to get some as nice. Keep up the good work- really love it.

The blue shark is a species of requiem shark, in the family Carcharhinidae, that inhabits deep waters in the world's temperate and tropical oceans. Preferring cooler waters, blue sharks migrate long distances, such as from New England to South America.
