Beetle, 6mm yellow, black and shiny Yes, I am stuck here. NoID, not the slightest.
all I can say is that I took it in our jungle, 780m above sea level. He was about 5mm in size.
Taken with the Venus 60mm, pretty much 1: 1.5
The closest I found is chelymorpha alternans
1. It's not a bug (Hemiptera), but a beetle (Coleoptera), most likely a leaf beetle (Chrysomelidae). Knowing the location might help. Posted 9 years ago
    1. Sorry geotag wasn't working last night. I got to where you get the empty screen and wait. But as I hit the button it said error instead of saved. Posted 9 years ago
      1. Sorry for those map errors. I cannot simulate the issue on my end, and as said, it basically is Google maps. I hope it resolves on your end soon. Posted 9 years ago
      2. My closest match is Labidomera clivicollis, but it's probably not the right one.

        1. Thanks a lot. I think your ID is extremely close but I am no biologist to say whether it could just be an aberration. Posted 9 years ago
