This is an opalescent nudibranch, a very small but beautiful creature. This one lives under the dock at the marina.

    I just tried again, same thing.
    It's not a Hermissenda crassicornis, it's an Opalescent Nudibranch, The Hermissenda crassicornis is much bigger than the Opalescent. Posted 10 years ago, modified 10 years ago

The Opalescent Sea Slug

"Hermissenda crassicornis" is a species of small, brightly colored, sea slug or nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Facelinidae. This species is also commonly known as the "opalescent sea slug."
