Amblyomma cajennense - the photographer's enemy
Look what I pulled off my leg today, luckily not fat yet. These ticks cn carry all sorts of diseases, Ehlichosis, Rocky mountain spotted fever etc.
They are quite tough and not easy to get rid off. this is why I put this one in the washbasin under water to take the picture. I have to admit that for once I killed my subject. But since it is difficult to find a half decent ID photo on the web, I thought it might be an idea to upload it.
EXIF :) Venus 2:1 lens full magnification, it was about 6mm

''Amblyomma cajennense'' or Cayenne tick is species of tick found in a range from the southern part of the United States to northern Argentina, through Central America and some of the Caribbean.
