  1. I created the species using the name "asper" instead of "aspera" because that's the name Wikipedia is using, so it made species-creation easier. It looks like both names are used in different places. Posted 9 years ago
    1. John, I don't know why (maybe Ferdy would explain), but sometimes not all Taxonomy levels are created. If you click on "Info" in this case you will see that all levels except the species name are "Unknown", so you have to insert them manually. It happens always with plants species. Posted 9 years ago
      1. I can explain, at least for plants. JungleDragon will look at Wikipedia for the taxonomy level words, like "family", "class", etc. The problem with plants at Wikipedia is that they are organized in clades, so there is no way for my software to know which value maps to which level in that situation. 2. Oh, I see in meantime you have done that! Sorry! Posted 9 years ago
      1. No problem! I didn't notice that at first, but I went in to edit the species info a little and then noticed the missing taxonomic levels. Thanks for mentioning it, because I might have overlooked it. Posted 9 years ago
  2. Magnificent photo! Posted 9 years ago
    1. Thank you very much :) Posted 9 years ago
  3. Hi folks,
sorry for that but I know that problem here. Sometimes one letter makes a difference.
    But «aspera» is currently correct.

    1. I'm really not sure which is the correct one, according to the IUCN Phrynoidis aspera is not correct [orth. error], but it is used in other sources which should be reliable too...
